Colombo, June 3 (Daily Mirror) - Former Minister of Mass Media, Health, and Environment Keheliya Rambukwella, his son, and coordinating secretary of the former minister were released on bail today over allegations of causing a government loss exceeding Rs. 8 million.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali granted bail for each of the three cases filed against the former Minister and his son, requiring 12 sureties of Rs. 1 million each and six cash bails of Rs. 50,000.
The court also issued a travel ban on all suspects.
Nishantha Bandara Basnayake, named as the third suspect in the case, was released on two cash bails of Rs. 50,000 each and four sureties of Rs. 1 million each.
