Jayantha Samaraweera resigns as State Minister

The National Freedom Front (NFF) Parliamentarian Jayantha Samaraweera said that he has resigned from the post of State Minister of Warehousing Facilities, Container Yards, Ports Supply Facilities and Boat and Shipping Industry Development.

This move came in the wake of the removal of NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa as the cabinet minister.

MP Samaraweera said he has handed his resignation letter to the President.(DSB)
