Issuing admission letters to national schools suspended: Ministry

Issuing letters for seeking admission to national schools for children have been temporarily suspended with effect from today, the Education Ministry said.

The ministry officials said the public will be notified after a policy decision is made at the end of the school holidays.

The decision was taken after a discussion held with the ministry officials soon after the appointment of the new minister.

Minister Susil Premajayatha assumed duties as the Education Minister today. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
