Inter-provincial buses likely to stop services tomorrow? - IPPBA

Inter-Provincial private bus service would stop its service by tomorrow due to unavailability of diesel, Inter-Provincial Private Bus Association (IPPBA) Secretary Anjana Priyanjith said.

He told the Daily Mirror that nearly 50% of the inter-provincial private buses have stopped running due to unavailability of fuel.

The bus operators have to wait for diesel in a longer queue to fill their tanks. Meanwhile, IPPBA President Sarath Vijitha Kumara said the buses have to wait with passengers in the queues for refilling.

The government should take action at least to grant priority for private buses to refill without this hassel. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
