Inmate’s river escape ends in arrest

Colombo, April 10 (Daily Mirror) - A prisoner who attempted to escape from the Matara Prison by jumping into the Nilwala Ganga was apprehended by troops of the 3 (V) Gemunu Watch.

The troops, using a boat, successfully captured the prisoner and handed him over to the security authorities at the Matara Prison.
