If the Power and Energy Ministry allows another ten more litres of fuel for three-wheelers, three wheeler fares would be brought down, All Island three-wheeler Drivers' and Owners' Association President Sudhil Jayaruk said.

He said a discussion on this was held at the Presidential Secretariat last week.

During the discussion, the President’s advisor arrived at a decision to increase the fuel quota by another 10 litres, Jayaruk said.

Later, the Secretariat had conveyed this decision to the Power and Energy Minister to take necessary action to provide the additional fuel quote, he added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
