I hope Bhanuka will make a good comeback: Namal

Claiming that cricketer Bhanuka Rajapksa was not selected for Indian T20I series based on recommendations of the Select Committee and Coachers, Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa said today this was not the end of his career and expressed hope that he would make a good comeback.

Responding to a question raised by SJB MP Sujith Sanjaya Perera, the Minister told Parliament the team was selected on the recommendations of the Select Committee and Coaches and that they had informed him and Bhanuka about the reasons why he was not selected.

"I can't reveal personal matters of cricketers here. He is a talented cricketer who should represent Sri Lanka. He still has time. I hope he will make a good comeback," he said. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
