Heavy showers likely in Northern Province today

Colombo, December 12 (Daily Mirror) - The low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to continue moving west-northwestward slowly, towards the Tamil Nadu coast near Northern Sri Lanka, within the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department said.

As a result, heavy showers of around 75mm are likely in the Northern Province.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, North-Western, and Western provinces.

However, misty conditions are expected in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces during the morning.
