Government approves printing school textbooks for 2025

Colombo, August 27 (Daily Mirror) - Government approval was granted to call for national competitive bids for printing the remaining 246 categories of school textbooks required for free distribution to schoolchildren during 2025. 

Cabinet spokesman and Minister Bandula Gunawardana said approval was granted to the proposal by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha to get the textbooks for the Grades excluding 1, 6 and 10 printed from 24 institutions that have submitted minimum quotations with substantially responsive minimum pricing as per the standing procurement committee appointed.
