Gazette issued abolishing State Ministry of Prisons

An Extraordinary Gazette notification has been issued by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa abolishing the State Ministry of Prison Management and Prisoners' Rehabilitation with effect from January 9.

Accordingly, all the institutions and special functions under the State Ministry have been gazetted under the Justice Ministry.
