Mar.10 - Several New Zealand players have made gains in the latest rankings update, while Sri Lanka’s stars have climbed the T20I charts less than three months before the start of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
Sri Lanka’s women cricketers recorded notable improvements in the latest International Cricket Council player rankings following their recent T20I series victory over the West Indies women's national cricket team, with several players climbing the charts ahead of the upcoming global tournament.
Opener Hasini Perera made the biggest jump for Sri Lanka, rising 15 places to 28th in the T20I batting rankings after scoring an unbeaten half-century in the decisive third match of the series.
Young batter Imesha Dulani also surged up the list, climbing 17 spots to joint 72nd following her unbeaten 34 in the series finale.
All-rounder Kavisha Dilhari enjoyed gains across multiple categories. She moved up three places to 21st in the T20I bowling rankings and rose two spots to 11th among T20I all-rounders.
Meanwhile, the latest update from the International Cricket Council also saw several New Zealand women's national cricket team players improve their positions following strong performances in their ODI series against the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team.
