Colombo, May 18 (Daily Mirror) - Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today ordered that further evidence in the case filed against former Minister Wimal Weerawansa and five others over an alleged protest causing public nuisance by obstructing roads in front of the United Nations office in Colombo in 2016, be taken up on July 13.

Witnesses in the case were not present in court when the matter was called today.

The case has been filed by the Cinnamon Gardens Police alleging that on February 6, 2016, the accused staged a protest in front of the United Nations office at Thunmulla, Colombo, in opposition to the visit of then United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Al Hussein to Sri Lanka, thereby obstructing roads and causing public inconvenience.
