Former Finance Secretary Charitha Ratwatte arrested

Colombo, Nov 04 (Daily Mirror) - Former Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Senior Advisor to the former Prime Minister, Charitha Ratwatte, was arrested today by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The arrest is linked to an investigation into the import of 50 temporary paddy warehouses through the State Commercial Miscellaneous Corporation in 2015, allegedly carried out without necessity and at a cost exceeding Rs. 90 million.
