Envoys meet PM, express concerns over death penalty

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today said a number of foreign envoys expressed their concerns over President Maithripala Sirisena's decision to implement the death penalty.

“Met with the foreign ambassadors regarding the President's decision to implement the death penalty. They have expressed their concerns over this development,” the Prime Minister said.
