EC warns of strict action against polling-related filming

Colombo, November 13 (Daily Mirror) - The Election Commission has advised the public to refrain from photographing or filming any polling-related activities and uploading such images or videos on social media. 

In a special statement, the Commission said photographing or filming polling stations, marked ballot papers and sharing them on social media platforms is a violation of election laws.

As such, the EC warned that those who disregard these guidelines could face legal consequences.
