Colombo, January 28 (Daily Mirror) - The National People's Power (NPP) government should not hold grudges against people but should focus on bringing a real system change, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP D.V. Chanaka said.
While speaking to the media, the MP questioned the contradictory remarks made by the President and several othwr NPP MPs with regard to the date of the commencement of the 'Clean Sri Lanka' programme.
"The Government has begun removing modified parts on three-wheelers and buses. However, the people want a real clean-up. Therefore, the 'Clean Sri Lanka' programme should begin from the NPP itself. It should sweep away those who make false claims over their educational qualifications," the MP added.
