Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - Following the country's rapid digitalization, all corruption related to financial management can be eliminated through digital procedures, Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) Vice President Indika De Zoysa said.
He told the media that many government and private institutions have embraced digitalization.
"Most financial transactions are now conducted through digital systems. Using digital platforms can reduce cash-related costs and enable expense tracking. Corruption can be eliminated from society if financial management is done through digitalized platforms," he said.
"Digitalization has also been integrated into school systems and education. Teaching and learning methods, such as blended learning and online learning, are facilitated through digital platforms like smart boards," Zoysa said.
Therefore, the government should take steps to streamline and accelerate digitalization programmes, he said.
