Derailment disrupts upcountry railway line

Train services on the upcountry railway line were disrupted this afternoon following the derailment of a motor trolley between Watagoda and Great Western railway stations, the Railways Department reported.

The incident has caused significant delays along the upcountry route. Efforts are currently underway to remove the derailed motor trolley and expedite the restoration of normal train operations.
