Dan Priyasad murder case suspect detained

A suspect was today ordered to be detained for a period of 48 hours following his arrest over the murder of social activist Dan Priyasad.

The suspect, taken into custody by the Western Province South Crime Division on Friday, was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.

During the court hearing, police submitted a progress report on the ongoing probe, along with a detailed account of the suspect’s alleged role in the killing.
