One dead, 10 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Kegalle

Colombo, June 22 (Daily Mirror) - A woman was killed and ten others were injured following a multi-vehicle accident in the Mangalagama area of Molagoda, Kegalle today (June 22).

The accident occurred at around 1:15 PM when a private passenger bus operating on the Nuwara Eliya–Colombo route lost control and collided with several oncoming vehicles. According to initial reports, the bus crashed into approximately seven vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

Among the vehicles heavily damaged and impacted by the bus were several belonging to a local driving school.

The individuals who sustained injuries in the pile-up were rushed to the Kegalle General Hospital for emergency treatment.
