Critically injured pregnant mother in Egodauyana accident suffers miscarriage

The 23-year-old pregnant mother who was critically injured in the fatal road accident in Egodauyana, has suffered a miscarriage due to the injuries she had sustained, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said the woman is undergoing treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
In that fatal accident, both her seven and a one-year-old daughters had been killed by a reckless motorcyclist on Friday night at Egodauyana on the Panadura-Moratuwa Road.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist was arrested following the accident and remanded until December 18, after being produced before the Moratuwa Magistrate.
