Covid-19 infections in prisons across country tops 2,000

According to the Department of Prisons, a total number of 2,051 persons have contracted Covid-19 so far.

Among them, there were 91 prison officers.

Meanwhile, the Prisons Department stated that 38 officers and 562 inmates have recovered from the virus so far.
