Cop attached to Parliament security division dies in road accident

A constable attached to the Parliamentary Police Division died in a road accident at Ilukkahahena Junction on the Baduragoda-Veyangoda road this morning, Police said.

The motorcycle which the policeman was riding crashed against a lorry coming from the Medagampitiya area. He died on admission to the Wathupitiwala Base Hospital, police said.

The deceased has been identified as 24 year-old K.M. Sajith Pushpakumara, a resident of Baduragoda.
