Colombo Econ. centres remain open today and tomorrow: Colombo Dist. Secy.

The Agriculture Ministry has decided to keep the economic centres open in the Colombo district today and tomorrow, Colombo District Secretary Pradeep Yasarathna said.

He said the government has also planned to open the economic centres over the weekend following instructions from the Agriculture Ministry.

Due to the present nationwide lockdown and quarantine curfew, mobile services will be launched in the Colombo District to bring essential items to people's doorsteps, Mr. Yasarathna said.

Accordingly, economic centres at Narahenpita, Bokundara, Meegoda and Ratmalana remain opened today and tomorrow only for wholesale activities, he added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
