Cabinet approval to construct Ruwanpura Expressway with local funds

The Cabinet approval was granted to construct the Ruwanpura Expressway linking the southern Expressway from Kahathuduwa - lngiriya- Rathnapura to Pelmadulla with local funds.

The project had been planned to initiate with foreign funds during the previous government.

The proposal presented by Minister of Highways to proceed with the Expressway constructions using the funds of local banks and the services of local construction companies was approved by the cabinet of Ministers.
