Colombo, April 30 (Daily Mirror) - The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) has announced a new design competition to mark World Environment Day, aimed at promoting innovative solutions to address climate change.
The competition will evaluate new designs focused on combating climate change and mitigating its impacts. Submissions are invited under several themes, including clean energy, green transportation, smart waste management, nature restoration, sustainable agriculture, water management and climate-resilient cities.
Applicants are required to submit their proposed design, a model, or present the concept through a video report lasting between three and five minutes. The video should clearly demonstrate how the design functions and how it contributes to climate change mitigation efforts.

Winners of the competition are expected to receive prizes and certificates at the national event held to commemorate World Environment Day.
