Auto Diesel pumped to buses emit kerosene-like odour: Gemunu The Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association (LPBOA) today said there is an issue with the quality of the auto diesel pumped to the private buses yesterday and the day before.

LPBOA Chairman Gemunu Wijerathne told media that the diesel pumped to buses emits an odour similar to that of kerosene.

While showing two samples of diesel that were recently brought to the media, he said one sample emits kerosene odour but the other does not.

He said there was a serious issue with the quality of the diesel the country had been supplied with.

He stated that the samples would be given to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for an investigation. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
