After teetering on 11 for 3, Jaker and Shamim put on an unbeaten 86-run partnership for the sixth wicket to get Bangladesh to a total of 139 for 5.

The bowling was propped up by the combined efforts of Thushara (1 for 17), Chameera (1 for 17) and Hasaranga (2 for 25).
