24-year-old woman stabbed

A 24-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by a 25-year-old man near Wathupitiwala Hospital in Nittambuwa this morning, police said.

The victim, found with stab injuries, was pronounced dead upon admission to the Hospital.

Police said both the victim and the suspect, who was subsequently arrested, were residents of Anuradhapura. (Pushpakumara Mallawarachchi)
