Maldivian dies

A Maldivian National, a 37 year old man, has fallen from the 18th floor of a well known hotel in Colombo early this morning. Initial Police reports suggest that the Maldivian national had been with a group of friends when the incident had occurred.

The Maldivian national was found dead on the spot.

The Police are yet to ascertain if this was a suicide attempt or was caused due to a personal dispute. meanwhile Colombo Fort Magistrate ordered judicial medical officers to conduct a post mortem exam in connection with this incident. (Sanath Desmond and Lakmal Suriyagoda)
