142 arrested for violating quarantine curfew

A total of 142 individuals have been arrested so far for violating the quarantine curfew in the nineteen police areas in Gampaha district, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said 7 persons were arrested during the past 24-hours for violating the quarantine curfew.

Long-distance buses will be allowed to pass through the curfew areas however, they will not be allowed to load and unload passengers.

No restrictions had been made for the students who face the GCE Advanced Leven examination, the spokesman added.
