Twelve Sri Lankan players have been included in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) Player Auction shortlist released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India today.
All-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is one of three Sri Lankan players, alongside Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana, who have opted to enter the draft at the highest reserve price of INR 200 lakhs.
A total of 40 players, Indian and foreign, have entered the draft at this price bracket.
Charith Asalanka, classified as an all-rounder, has entered the draft at the INR 100 lakhs reserve price, as has wicket-keeper batsman Kusal Perera.
Opening batsman Pathum Nissanka has entered the draft at the INR 75 lakhs price bracket, along with all-rounders Dasun Shanaka and Dunith Wellalage, wicket-keeper batsmen Kusal Mendis, leg-spinner Viyaskanth Vijayakanth, and fast-bowler Binura Fernando.
Traveen Matthew, who is yet to be capped at national level, comes in at a reserve price of INR 30 lakhs.
350 players have been shortlisted for the IPL Player Auction, with 240 Indian players and 110 overseas names.
The auction will take place next Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.
