Following the policy meeting held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 22 July 2025, the Monetary Policy Board (MPB) has decided to maintain the Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) at its current level of 7.75%. This decision was announced by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, at a press conference in Colombo on 23 July 2025.Pix by Pradeep Pathirana.
