‘Abans-Mistral Hithawathkama’ helps low-income families

CSR project ‘Abans-Mistral Hithawathkama’ was recently launched to assist low-income families who have fallen on hard times due to the prevailing instability in the country. 


Essentials including dry rations were distributed among selected households. The 20 kg pack included rice, flour, dhal, sugar, noodles, soap, toothpaste, tea, salt, soya meat, spices and many other essentials required by a household. 


To ensure transparency, needy households were identified with the intervention of two Catholic churches in the area. 


The programme was conducted at St. Matthias Church, Moratuwa and Methodist Church, Kadalana under the patronage of Reverends Sagara Perera and Anura Perera. 


The occasion was graced by Head of International Sales for Mayer Marketing, Singapore, Frank Lim. Representing Abans PLC, Chief Marketing Officer, Buddhika Dharmawardena; Deputy General Manager, Marketing, Ruwan Gunasekara; Senior Brand Manager, Charith Fernando; Senior Brand Manager, Emudu Perera and Assistant Manager, Marketing, Niroshan Murugiah and other officials of Abans PLC attended the event.
