You may not be aware of this cashback system as it has not been introduced to all our local supermarkets.
‘Cashback System’in UK supermarkets applies to a broad term that covers a couple of different ways shoppers can get money back. It’s a few methods designed to help people save on their groceries by way of discounts.
Here’s a breakdown of main method how it works in UK supermarkets:
Cash withdrawal at the payout counter (cashback without purchase) is the traditional sense of ‘cashback’. Many major UK supermarkets allow you to withdraw physical cash at the checkout when you pay for your shopping with a debit card. Increasingly, thanks to initiatives like ‘Cashback Without Purchase,’ you can even get cash out without buying anything or paying a fee at the checkout counter. This is extra handy if you need a few bucks but don’t want to drive to an ATM after shopping is over.
It is regretted that only one or two supermarkets have this system but its limited only to their accredited banks credit or debit cardholders. These supermarkets should extend this facility to cards of all banks as well.
It’s time major supermarkets adopted this system at check out counters as an additional service to customers.
Over to major and smaller supermarkets.
