As we go about our daily lives, it’s the small actions that can make a big difference in our community. One such action is returning supermarket trolleys to their designated areas instead of leaving them scattered in car parks which is a common feature in our country. People are selfish and want to dump trolleys in car parks after loading their items to the car boot. This is grossly unethical and unacceptable.
It’s a simple act of consideration that can save staff time and effort, keeping our shopping areas tidy and safe from accidental hits by reversing cars. Moreover, it sets an example for others to follow, fostering a sense of community responsibility. Imagine if everyone made a conscious effort to return their trolley! Our car parks would be cleaner, and we’d all be contributing to a more respectful environment. Some foreign supermarkets even offer incentives for customers who return trolleys, so it’s a win-win situation in those countries.
“Bring your own bag for a gift of Rs 6 refund,” scheme in Keels has paid dividents in reducing
polythene bags usage drastically. Bravo Keels!
Lets act wisely and contribute our share towards our social responsibility.
Let’s make returning trolleys a habit. Next time you’re at the supermarket, take an extra minute to wheel that trolley back to its rack. Encourage family and friends to do the same. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and responsibility.
Let’s do our part and show that we care about our community. Return your trolley, and let’s keep our neighbourhoods tidy and proud!
