Rtn. Lion Ayesh De Silva Appointed as Additional Cabinet Secretary of Lions District 306 D6

Rtn. Lion Ayesh De Silva PMAF MAF, a rising young leader and social influencer, has been appointed as the Additional Cabinet Secretary of Lions Clubs International District 306 D6 by District Governor Lion Mahesh Boralugoda PMJF PMAF JP.

Ayesh is widely recognised for his tireless efforts in uplifting the less fortunate and his strong commitment to humanitarian service. With a passion for community development, he has led numerous initiatives aimed at supporting underprivileged families and empowering youth across Sri Lanka.

His remarkable leadership, administrative skills, and teamwork have earned him accolades throughout the Lions movement. At the Club Awards Ceremony 2021–2025 of the Lions Club of Colombo Ceylon Excellence, held on July 26, 2025, at the Royal Colombo Golf Club under the patronage of Club Advisor Lion Pradeep Saputhanthri (Secretary to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka), Ayesh was honored with two prestigious awards: the Lion of the Year 2021–2025 and the Gold Award for Administration.

In addition to his service in the Lions movement, Rtn. Lion Ayesh De Silva has also been appointed to the Rotary District Team 2025/2026 as the District Governor’s Special Representative for New Club Extension of Rotary International District 3220, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He currently serves as the Membership Chair of the Rotary Club of Colombo Centennials, further reflecting his commitment to strengthening community networks and fostering growth in both Rotary and Lions.

Notably, Ayesh is the only young leader in the world currently serving in both the Lions Clubs International District 306 D6 Cabinet and the District Team of Rotary International District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives. This historic dual role marks a global first and sets a new record in youth leadership and inter-organisational service.
