Beware of fake job advertisements on social media

It has come to light that certain advertisements circulating on Facebook are offering unusually high salaries to individuals with no prior experience. These ads, often quoting daily wages ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000—vastly exceeding the national average of approximately Rs. 4,000—are likely designed to mislead unemployed individuals in search of opportunities. Disturbingly, some of these ads misuse official logos of government institutions and state-owned banks, giving them an appearance of legitimacy. There is a strong possibility that these offers are part of fraudulent schemes aimed at collecting “registration fees” or “security deposits” from unsuspecting applicants before disappearing without a trace. Given the potential for large-scale exploitation, it is strongly recommended that law enforcement authorities investigate the credentials of these entities and take necessary action.
