two 14-year-old girls who escaped from children’s home arrested

Two underage girls who fled from a children’s home at Monaragala were arrested by Passara police and handed over to Monaragala Police.  

Police said the two girls loitering in Passara town were arrested on suspicion and questioned to find that they had fled from the children’s home.  

The two girls were of 14 years of age and residents of Dodamwata in Mahiyangana and Hewanakumbura in Keppetipola areas.   

They were produced before JMO Monaragala General Hospital for medical examination after which they were to be produced in court.
