State forests in Hatton More than 10 acres gutted in Kotagala

An area of more than 10 acres of state forest at Kotagala in Hatton had been gutted last morning. Residents of the area said the fire had spread to the edge of the railway reservation due to the prevailing dry weather. They said a group of unscrupulous individuals had set fire to the forest to track down wild animals or for pleasure.  
Dimbula Police are conducting further investigations.
