SLPA to honour 10 media veterans at its 70th Convention on Wednesday

Sri Lanka Press Association will celebrate its 70th Anniversary Convention and the D. F. Kariyakarawana Memorial Journalism Awards on Wednesday, November 26th at the Hilton Colombo.

The country’s oldest journalists association, which was founded on October 9th 1955, is to felicitate ten veterans of the print and electronic media, who have rendered a yeoman service to the industry.   

Prof. Anura Wickramasinghe, Rosmand Senaratne, Manik de Silva, Daya de Alwis, Rasiah Selvaraja, Siri Ranasinghe, Indunil Kahawita Amarasekara, D. Oliver Silva, Mohamed Abubakar Phakurdeen and Lal Hegoda are the veterans who will be honoured at the 70th convention.
