Pre-school teacher infected with Omicron variant in Minuwangoda

It was yet to determine how she had contracted the virus

A pre-school teacher at Nilpanagoda, Minuwangoda has been infected with the Omicron COVID-19 variant, a Health official said.   

The official said the pre-school has been temporarily closed and 20 students, the headteacher and another teacher were sent to quarantine.   

It was yet to determine how she had contracted 

the virus.  The official said none of the students or the teachers had developed any symptoms and they will be subject to PCR tests.
