Pathfinder Foundation founder calls on Chief Prelates in Kandy

Founder of the Pathfinder Foundation, Milinda Moragoda called on the Maha Nayake Theras of the Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters, the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera and the Most Venerable Warakagoda Gnanarathana Thera. He also met with Dr. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera, Anunayake of the Malwatte Chapter; Wendaruwe Upali Thera and Dr. Godagama Mangala Thera of the Asgiriya Chapter, as well as the General Secretaries of both Chapters.

On the occasion, Mr. Moragoda presented framed reproductions of a well-known mural painting from the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya to the Mahanayake Theras. The painting, by renowned artist Solias Mendis, depicts the historic event of King Keerthi Sri Rajasinghe conferring the title of Sangharaja on the Venerable Weliwita Sri Saranankara Thera and symbolises the longstanding close relationship between Sri Lanka’s rulers and the Maha Sangha.
