Opposition to question government on Venezuela issue in Parliament

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa is to raise a question with regard to development in Venezuela in Parliament this week, the opposition leader’s office said yesterday. 

A spokesman from the opposition leader’s office said Mr. Premadasa will ask the government to state its official stand on the US invasion of Venezuela in the House. 

Meanwhile, Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunatilaka told Daily Mirror that a meeting of all opposition parties representing Parliament has been called for at 2 pm today. “We will discuss all current issues, including the crisis on the grade six syllabus, during the meeting.
