Man dies after tractor falls on him

A person ploughing a land in Puttur in Jaffna had died after a tractor collapsed on him, Achchuweli Police said.   

The deceased has been ploughing a land on January 14 and the accident has occurred as the tractor has fallen on him. On sustaining severe injuries, he has been admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on January 16.   

The deceased has been identified as Sinnathambi Devendran aged 48 years and a resident of Puttur, father of three. Achchuweli Police will conduct further investigations.
