Mahagiri Damba Route to Sri Pada safe

The area of the Sri Pada pilgrim route at Mahagiri Damba,which had been affected by earth slips has now been restored and the flight of steps re-constructed to provide a safe passage for pilgrims.   

Chief Incumbent of Sri Padasthana and Sanghanayake of Ratnapura District Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thera said all reconstruction works were carried out by the army. He said a protective fence along the deep ascent on the pilgrim route was erected by the air force and the navy.   

Ven. Thera pointed out that the pilgrims could now make their way to Sripadasthana quite safely and without fear of any danger.  .
