Group posing as CID officers hunting me: SJB MP

Whilst revealing that a group identified as CID officers are hunting for him, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman yesterday said he will request Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne to take action to ensure his protection. 

“I will raise a privilege issue in Parliament this week and inform the Speaker about the issue. I will also lodge a complaint with the Inspector General of Police (IGP),” he said. 

“A group of persons have come to my residence in Kolonnawa while I was out and have asked for me. This was prior to a visit they had made to my sister’s house. They have informed my sister that they are probing into the loss of a SIM card. They have actually told her that I have lodged a complaint with CID about a lost SIM card. I never made such a complaint. They have also visited the residence of my in-laws,” he said.
