Dates for conducting GCE O/L, A/L, Grade 5 Examinations scheduled

• The Grade Five Scholarship Examination will be held on January 22 (Saturday), 2022
• The GCE O/L examination will be from May (Monday) 23 to June 1, 2022  (Wednesday)
• The GCE A/L examination will be held from February 7  (Monday) to March 5, 2022 (Saturday)

The Education Ministry has fixed the date for conducting the 2021 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L), Advanced Level (A/L) and Grade Five Scholarship examinations.  

The decision was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers after presenting the revised examination time table for the approval.  

As such, the Grade Five Scholarship Examination will be held on January 22 (Saturday), 2022. The GCE O/L examination will be from May (Monday) 23 to June 1, 2022 (Wednesday). The GCE A/L examination will be held from February 7 (Monday) to March 5, 2022 (Saturday).  

Six months after the COVID pandemic in the country, the primary schools re-opened on October 25 and the O/L and A/L classes would commence on November 8.  

The examination dates were scheduled while assigning a considerable time for students to complete their studies.
