Sri Lanka’s first multiplex cinema ‘Cine City’, based in Maradana, became Sri Lanka’s first cinema to provide its cinemas with the all-new Dolby Atmos Digital Sound System, recently.
The inauguration ceremony of the Dolby Atmos Digital Sound System was held at the Cine City Cinema Complex and it was attended by a number of local actors, actresses, as well as film directors/producers.
Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne spoke a few words: “In the dictionary there is a meaning given for the word atmosphere.
And from among those meanings in Sinhala, atmosphere and environment I think are most suited for today’s event.” The ceremony was concluded with the screening of an all-new film ‘Vivegam’, which was screened for the audience with the Dolby Atmos Digital Sound System equipped.
