One of the Only Sri Lankan Choirs Living Overseas Returns Home Euphony in “Timeless Echoes”



Euphony, one of the only Sri Lankan identity choirs based overseas, is returning to their motherland for a soul-stirring concert tour titled “Timeless Echoes.” Based in Melbourne, Australia, and directed by the versatile Rushan Hewawasam, Euphony is known for blending Sri Lankan choral culture with global harmony, creating music that bridges continents and generations.

This celebrated choir will be joined by the iconic Victoria Welsh Male Choir, forming a rare and powerful musical collaboration. The tour is presented by The De Lanerolle Brothers, renowned for curating performances that resonate deeply with Sri Lankan audiences.

Friday, 18 July – Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo at 7:00 PM (Downstairs sold out)

Sunday, 20 July – Dutch Reformed Church, Galle at 4:00 PM

Friday, 25 July – Chapel of Trinity College, Kandy at 6:30 PM

Guest choirs from Visakha Vidyalaya, Trinity College, Wesley College and Lyceum International School will also join, adding a rich local flavour to this cross-cultural choral celebration.

This is more than a concert, it’s a heartfelt return, a celebration of Sri Lankan voices that have travelled far but never forgotten home.
